The Challenge
As the UK’s leading low-carbon electricity generator, EDF is uniquely placed to support the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future. But over the past year, the affordability crisis has come to dominate the energy agenda. Our team helps EDF drive coverage and commentary opportunities within a fast moving media agenda to help it convey urgent messaging to policymakers and reassure millions of customers on the targeted support it is providing to ease the pressure on them.
The Solution
Our work combines an ongoing, dynamic press office with targeted campaign activity to secure a leading industry share of voice. We work alongside the in-house communications team to target key media with industry commentary around energy affordability, working to help secure interviews with the UK Managing Director of Customers on programmes such as BBC R4 Today and Sky News. The Good Relations team also leads on developing stories around key business developments, such as partnership investments to grow the Heat Pump market and major customer deals supporting their transition to renewable energy and electric mobility.
